FIRM PROFILE

All Attorneys Martin, Browne, Hull & Harper, P.L.L. is engaged in the general practice of law. The firm was founded in 1872. Its office is located in Springfield, Ohio, a city of approximately 75,000 residents. Springfield is located in west central Ohio, 40 miles west of Columbus and 25 miles northeast of Dayton. It is the county seat of Clark County, which has a total population of approximately 150,000. While Springfield is a highly industrialized city, it is located in the center of a productive farming area.

In its early years, the firm developed a strong business practice. That focus has continued to the present. Consequently, the firm has a large number of business clients whom it counsels and represents in the areas of general corporation, labor and employment, and commercial law. The firm has a general litigation practice, representing insurance companies, self-insured organizations, and individuals, and has developed a broad management worker's compensation practice. The firm also has an extensive practice representing public sector and non-profit organizations, including boards of education and private colleges and universities. The firm does not engage in any criminal or domestic relations practice.

The firm encourages its members and associates to serve on the boards of charitable organizations, and to participate in activities of the organized bar. Two former members of the firm served as President of the Ohio State Bar Association. One also served as a member of the American Bar Association’s Council of Delegates. A number of others have served on the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors and various committees and boards of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Springfield Bar and Law Library Association. Over the years members of the firm have served as trustees of Princeton University, Wittenberg University, Antioch University, Urbana University and Clark State Community College as well as many local civic, religious and philanthropic organizations such as the Springfield Foundation, Clark State Foundation, United Way, the Community Improvement Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce.
