Such transactions include conventional mortgage financing, industrial development, revenue bonds, private syndications and sale-leasebacks.
Our real estate group is supported by our tax, corporate, environmental and construction law groups, and our firm has served for over 50 years as both general and local counsel for numerous Ohio and national clients in this practice area.
Our real estate group represents residential and commercial lenders in loan closing transactions, and the firm is the owner of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Bankers’ Title Agency of Springfield, Ltd., which is authorized to issue title insurance to owners and lenders. The group also coordinates tax-deferred Section 1031 exchanges, environmental audits and Phase I site assessments for lenders and borrowers.
The real estate group has developed residential and commercial condominium documentation, and has broad experience in every aspect of real estate litigation, including foreclosures, quiet title and partition actions, encroachment and restriction-enforcement actions, and sale/purchase contract disputes.
