Martin Browne provides a full range of legal services in real estate law including the areas of real estate acquisition, planning, development, financing, investment, leasing, and sales. Our attorneys represent buyers and sellers of commercial, industrial and residential real estate and are involved in tax-deferred exchanges, commercial leasing, tax planning, mortgage loan foreclosures, and loan workouts.
We have represented developers, banks, businesses, manufacturers and a variety of commercial clients in a wide range of acquisition, sale and financing transactions. Such transactions include conventional mortgage financing, industrial development, revenue bonds, private syndications, and sale-leasebacks.
Our Real Estate group is supported by our tax, corporate, environmental and construction law groups—serving as both general and local counsel for numerous Ohio and national clients in this practice area for over 50 years.
We also represent residential and commercial lenders in loan closing transactions. Martin Browne has a wholly-owned subsidiary, Bankers’ Title Agency of Springfield, Ltd., which is authorized to issue title insurance to owners and lenders. The group also coordinates tax-deferred Section 1031 exchanges, environmental audits and Phase I site assessments for lenders and borrowers.
Our team of real estate attorneys has developed residential and commercial condominium documentation, and has broad experience in every aspect of real estate litigation including foreclosures, quiet title and partition actions, encroachment and restriction-enforcement actions, and sale/purchase contract disputes.
